In 1999, Marco began showing his work in galleries. Two of his canvases were shown at the Huntington Beach Art Center. Soon after, "Surfer's Paradise", a canvas painted while on a surf trip to Costa Rica, was shown in the Tiki Art - Group Art Show, also
at the Huntington Beach Art Center.

Later that year, Almera was included in the San Francisco Rock Poster Revival and showed his art and posters along with esteemed artists Stanley Mouse, Alton Kelley, David Singer, Winston Smith and The Firehouse. By the end of 1999, Almera had created "Tiki Dream", a black velvet painting which was included in the Leeteg Tribute-Art Show curated by Copro/Nason Fine Arts. The painting is now in the collection of The Pizz, underground artist extraordinaire. During 1999,
Almera had created 9 additional serigraphs.

"Das Klown-European Tour"

This poster was created for Das Klown's 1999 European tour. It features a fed up clown smacking a Nazi police officer with a bag of sand. This image was created between the artist and the band to express a mutual dislike of corrupt police and fascism. It is meant to
have a maximum graphic impact on Das Klown's fans, reflecting the powerful, aggressive sound of the band. It also makes clear to the fans where the band stands on certain things.

In 2000, Marco has completed album covers for "A Fistful of Rock'n'Roll" and also for "Symbolic" by the Voodoo Glow Skulls.  He has created the official artwork for the 2000 Triple Crown of
Surfing contest series to be held on the North Shore of Hawaii. Poster Pop has recently licensed eleven of his designs for
stickers and t-shirts to be distributed worldwide. So far this year he has created 8 serigraphs.

Almera has recently participated in interviews by Surfing Magazine in the U.S. and Cal Magazine in Japan. Blond, Brett, and Surfer Magazines in Germany also featured interviews and
articles on the artist.

Dictators
This poster was created to promote the
Dictators' May 13 gig at Club Mesa. The
imagery is a play on the word "dictator", and features a dominatrix and a tank bringing joy the world over. On the tank is scribed "K.L.A." which expresses the artist's desire to kick the
Serbian dictator's ass.
